About Rock The Cape
Rock The Cape is an annual arts event on Hatteras Island, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Now in its fifth year, Rock The Cape returns to the island June 19-23, 2017 with a full slate of arts activities from Rodanthe to Hatteras Village. The event is a program of Dare County Arts Council and its efforts to promote the arts on Hatteras Island.
Rock The Cape launches on Monday June 19 with the official event kick-off party at Turners High Moon Bar in Avon. Come enjoy live music, new works by Hatteras Island artists and free appetizers. The party is open to everyone – locals and visitors alike. It’s a great way to support the amazing arts community on the island.
On Thursday June 22, Hatteras Realty in Avon hosts the Rock The Cape Art Show featuring dozens of local artists, live music and delicious local food. The show also has hands-on arts activities for kids throughout the day.
In the evening of June 22, Koru Village and Spa’s Beach Klub in Avon will open its doors at 6pm for the Rock The Cape concert. This year’s concert will be headlined by Rumours, the country’s premier Fleetwood Mac tribute band. Concert tickets will be on sale soon at the Koru Village website and Brown Paper Tickets.
