Unknown Tongues

Playing Louisiana-style Cajun-Zydeco with a Carolina twist, Unknown Tongues hails from the marshlands of coastal North Carolina where they’ve hosted the Gloucester Mardi Gras since 1991 and recently launched the Wild Caught Local Seafood and Music Festival on the banks of the Straits in Carteret County. Unknown locally as well as around the world, the Tongues have played dances and festivals throughout the region, from the Low Country Cajun Festival of Charleston, SC to the Appalachian String Band Festival in West Virginia. The band is made up of Bryan Blake on fiddle, accordion, and pedal steel, Barbara Blake on guitar and rubboard, Todd Humphreys on bass, and Tom Parker on drums.
